Jesus, the Word of God

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 

- John 1:1

Being the Word of God, it was through Him that everything was made [John 1:3] and in Him everything holds together [Colossians 1:17]. He was with God from the beginning [John 1:2] but He came down and took the form of a human being [Philippians 2: 6-7] and dwelt among us [John 1:14] in order to fulfill the mission that the Father gave Him which is the salvation of mankind [John 3:16]. He is the Word of God which gives light, light that shines for everyone [John 1:9] and the Word of life [1 John 1:1] who came to give life [John 10:10].
